Leisure Collection

The Sherman Fairchild Library houses a collection of leisure reading books on the third floor.  If you want to check for a specific title or author, search the library catalog, or you can browse what's available.  If there's something you think we should have that we don't, make a suggestion.

What's New

The Caltech Library is now subscribing to Vogue, British Vogue, French Vogue, Adbusters, Entertainment Weekly, and Shonen Jump. Find the latest issues on the 3rd floor of the Sherman Fairchild Library.

Reading suggestions?

Not sure what to read next?  Here are some sites (and books) to help you find your next read.

  • LibraryThing: Suggester
Type in a book you've read and liked, and get recommendations back for others to try.
  • Book Lust by Nancy Pearl
This book contains lists of books for different moods (written by the librarian they made an action figure out of).
  • Overbooked
Find book reviews on all genres of fiction, plus readable non-fiction.
  • Unshelved Bookclub
    Book reviews in comic form
