Technology available for the Caltech Community
The Sherman Fairchild Library was specifically funded with an eye to providing up-to-date services, including those on the leading edge of changes in the scholarly information world. Over the years, SFL has introduced circulating laptops, a computer commons, and kept the technology in the Group Study Rooms cutting edge.
Our newest experiment is circulating hardware. We are seeking to investigate the utility of these devices in fulfilling our mission to support research and education.
The hardware we’re circulating is listed on the tabs above. In the next year, we anticipate finding other such tools to try out, to see how they fit into the library’s mission. If they do, then we’ll make more available.
